Okana

Okana is cross-cultural, written in both Volcor and Misteria.

My thanks go to Mara Faris, who assembled the Okana alphabet chart for this site from card art. Every glyph above has been traced from that chart into a typeface — type into the box below and read your own words in Okana.

No glyph for Q or X has ever appeared in published card art, so those are the two letters that cannot be written; they render as empty runes above.

Nor has any Okana text ever shown a punctuation mark or a numeral, so the typeface will write letters and spaces alone.

Okana is not always written left to right. The Proclamation of Requisition below reads right to left, and the banners in Spectral Procession run top to bottom in columns — hence the direction buttons on the translator.

Some examples of the language can be seen below.

Freewheeling Renegades

The sign in the foreground reads “Drugs”.

The sign on the right says “Orig-” Presumably “Original”

The ad on the left side behind “Drugs” says “Best street food in here, dude”.

Proclamation of Requisition

This one is trickier, from right to left it would say something like:

“Themselves nor to inrich themselves nor to inform rivalries and not allow those to strengthen their wills and knowledge without ……”

Proclaim Vengeance

“Children of the Dragon, Kindle your fires and sharpen your claws”

Spectral Procession

Spectral Procession’s banners say “Nightmare” “Parade”.
